Wife of American Revolutionary War general John Stark, who campaigned for smallpox vaccination.. A state park and state highway in Vermont are named after her.
Stark gained historical notoriety due to her husband's battle call of "There are your enemies, the Red Coats and the Tories. They are ours, or this night Molly Stark sleeps a widow!" before engaging with the British and Hessian army in the Battle of Bennington.

Molly Stark Statue The sculpture is located on the historic Molly Stark Trail in Wilmington, VT
"Old Molly", the Molly Stark Cannon on parade in Manchester, NH. – date unknown After the Battle of Bennington, the American troops named one of the captured guns “Old Molly” after the General’s wife. One story is that Captain Benjamin Dodge was put in charge of “Old Molly” and brought it home to New Boston in case he needed it to fight the British.
