Frederick takes Aachen and Cologne

Otto's defeat at the Battle of Bouvines allowes Frederick to take Aachen and Cologne, as Otto is forced again to withdraw to his private possessions around Brunswick.
Thus, Otto is effectively deposed and Frederick again crowned King of Germany on 25 July, unopposed this time.
Pope Innocent III, who had previously crowned Otto, would acknowledge Frederick's rule as emperor-to-be during the Fourth Council of the Lateran in November
