Scott granted a new trial

Scott's attorney Bay moved for a new trial, arguing that the Scott family should not remain in slavery because of a technicality in the legal proceedings that could be easily remedied.
Judge Hamilton grants a new trial, however, there was a lengthy delay before it actually took place.
