Douglas Hofstadter

American author and scholar of cognitive science, physics, and comparative literature.
He is best known for his book Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid which won both the Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction and a National Book Award.
He is also known for the (self-referential), Hofstadter's Law stated in Gödel, Escher, Bach
Hofstadter's Law "It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law."
