Emperor Michael IV, 1034 – 1041
04/12/1034 AD crowned

The day after Romanos III died and Zoë and Michael were married, the couple summoned the Patriarch Alexios I to officiate at the coronation of the new emperor.

He crowned Michael as the new Emperor of the Romans as Michael IV.
