01/22/1148 AD inherited

At the death of her father in 1148, she inherited the vast County of Burgundy and became countess palatine. As such, she was one of the most desired brides in France.

Her uncle, William III of Mâcon, who acted as her regent, attempted to deprive of her rights and had her imprisoned; and a marriage was suggested to Emperor Frederick I, who stopped William.
