Francis of Assisi pilgrimage to Rome and Abandons Father

Francis goes to Rome and spends time begging in St Peter's Basilica.
He asks God for spiritual guidance and receives a mystical vision of Jesus Christ who tells him "Francis, Francis, go and repair My house which, as you can see, is falling into ruins."
Taking this literally he sells some of his fathers wares to help repair a church building, incurring the wrath of father.
Shortly thereafter he publically renounces his father and his inheritance.
