A grand jury indicts Trump and Walt Nauta on federal criminal charges: It listed 37 counts against Trump, 31 of which fall under the Espionage Act.
The other charges include making false statements and engaging in a conspiracy to obstruct justice.
This marked the first time in American history that a serving or former president has been indicted on a federal criminal charge.
Trump was arraigned on June 13.
After the indictment, Trump and his allies within the Republican Party escalated verbal attacks on the FBI, Justice Department, and federal prosecutors, whom Trump denounced in a speech to the Georgia Republican Party as "cowards", "fascists and thugs", and "sinister forces" days following his indictment.
